Trip Advisor Guest Reviews –
My husband and I visited Allara Homestead and were blown away by the care and detail that went into our visit. From the little extras in the room (complimentary decanter of port) to the amazing home cooked breakfast in the peaceful dining on the veranda.
As it was my husband’s birthday they provided a morning surprise whilst singing Happy Birthday. . Next Cheryl and Ian moved onto another couples table who were celebrating a special occasion as well and the smiles the hosts brought to their faces was priceless.
We cannot promote Allara Homestead enough. Ian and Cheryl have created a home from home with above top class care. Thanks for a great experience. . We will be definitely back.
Room Tip: Any room .. they are all of an awesome standard

“Magic piece of heaven”
A beautiful little spot tucked away just outside of a equally delightful little township. The simply beautiful rooms can’t be faulted and are matched by stunning views of the gardens and dam from the breakfast area. Couldn’t have asked for better hospitality from Ian and Cheryl. They’re both very down to earth, great hosts up for a chat and a laugh and nothing is a trouble. Breakfasts were just grand, most of it local produce freshly cooked by Cheryl. We have never felt more relaxed after a trip away and can’t speak highly enough of the homestead and the hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing stay with some awesome Aussie hospitality, steer the car to Flaxton and let Ian and Cheryl spoil you with their magic part of the world.

“Round two… Back again”
My husband & I have just returned to Allara for our 1st year Wedding anniversary… We were lucky enough to spend a couple of nights there last year for our honeymoon that my sister organised for us.. We loved it so much that we returned again for another beautiful weekend away together.. Cheryl & Ian are the hosts with the most… From our gorgeous welcoming to all the romantic little things they add to make you feel so welcomed… From our beautiful room… “Vintage Rose” with our “Welcome Back Sue & Herman” sign to a bottle of Champagne to celebrate our anniversary… & yummy homemade slice on arrival… We had only been there once before but was greeted like old friends… Allara has the most gorgeous landscaped gardens… Amazing views & most perfectly decorated rooms… Cheryl & Ian are a couple that are perfectly suited to what they do here… Each of their rooms are amazing… I’ve told them both they should be on shows like “House Rules & The Block”… They sure have the magical touch that makes you just want to come back again and again.. My Husband & I love food… and at Allara you are fed like royalty… The food is Divine, just amazing… & again the presentation is just incredible.. I loved our Breakfasts… “Master Chef look out when these two get in the kitchen…” I must say also that the Passionfruit Butter is to die for… We left again with hugs all round & us so not wanting to leave.. Keep doing what you guys do so well… You made our first anniversary just beautiful, and we will definitely be back again for sure… keep smiling… Sue & Hermanus Lette <3

“We’ll Be Back”
Can’t wait for a weekend off so we can head back! Cannot describe how much my partner and I loved our stay at Allara. Relaxing, peaceful, quite, just what we were looking for. My partner is a chef and could not fault our morning breakfasts made by the wonderful host Cheryl. We stayed for 5 nights and every morning was something different and tasty. We were greeted almost every morning by the local kookaburras that sat patiently on the balcony railing waiting for a bit to eat from Cheryl’s husband Ian. We stayed in the French Nest, a small cosy room, perfect sized for the two of us. Will definitely be heading back and would highly recommend to any couple looking for a quite and relaxing getaway together. 10 out of 10.

“Counting the days until we can go back!”
We are still sighing over the short getaway we had at Allara. The rooms are beautiful and the house and grounds are stunning. It is obviously a labour of love for the owners. Cheryl and Ian’s hosting was so warm and genuine, it just made us happy. This hospitality was also reflected in the home cooked breakfast, it changes every day but we had homemade bacon and egg quiches, fruit salad, homemade bread with jams and lovely coffee and tea. There are lots of birds and flowers. Book directly with them. The rates are very reasonable and completely worth it.
